Our Roots Matter
K nowing your forefathers roots is crucial. Especially in this changing world we are living at. Many people are slightly loosing their cultures and an African way of living. We all know the causes of such problem but anyhow we only just need to stay as we are and keep embracing our roots. I was tasked to do a research about us Nkuna tribe , where are we coming from so this will be in a sort of a book and documentary film that we are going to work on ahead. Then I took sometime and visit my uncle so he can share with me our family " xinanatelo" and he did share with me. I believe it will make a huge difference in changing our way of thinking and start to grow up and began to know about our own selves as Nkuna wa mavutana. This is how we praise our surname in my family: " Nkuna mavutana mavuta vayi twile makuma dlela se homu ni mbuti mbinyi wa xikomu, wa mbumbu leyi kulu". To be continued....
